and Conditions
The following terms and conditions contain important
information regarding your Star Rent a Car rental
and applies to all rentals for Car Hire at Alicante
Airport and Alicante. Car Hire Malaga Airport and
the Costa del sol. Car Hire Valencia Airport and Valencia,
Car Hire Murcia Airport and Murcia and all our local
offices
Star Rent a Car rates
include
*Unlimited mileage.
*Third party insurance.
*Collision damage waiver (cdw).
*Theft waiver, airport surcharges and all taxes.
*Additional drivers are Free . .
*Baby seats are Free.
*NO EXCESS WAIVER
Not included:
*Petrol: When you collect your car it will be delivered
with a full tank of fuel. Depending on the model
supplied, the value of fuel is between 45 €/60€.
Please return it as empty as possible. There is
no refund on unused fuel. This system dramatically
speeds up the return of your car. *Garaging, parking
and traffic fines, damage to tyres and windscreens
are NOT included
Vehicle Range
Only offered vehicle groups can be reserved.We do
not guarantee specific vehicles. Vehicles shown
are just as an informative example.
Reservations
Reservations must be made 3 working days in advance
on line , by fax to Star rent a car reservations
on 00 34 902 28 08 09 or e-mail to bookings@rentspain.com.
For easy of reservations, please have the following
information ready: Your departure date, flight arrival
time and number, city of pick up and vehicle type
required. You can pay on line or when you pick up
your car.
Confirmation
All reservations will be confirmed within 2 working
days from the date of the booking and issued with
a reservation number, which must be quoted in all
correspondence. Reservations will not be confirmed
until flight numbers and delivery and collection
addresses have been supplied. Once availability
is confirmed, a number will be issued.
The price
Everything that is included in the price is clearly
identified on the voucher , all included except
petrol .
Changes, refunds
or cancellations
No refund will be issued for reservations cancelled
less than 24 hours before departure or on failure
to collect the vehicle.
Age restrictions
Minimum age 24 and no Maxium age. However, check
with Star Rent a Car reservations e-mail bookings@rentspain.com.
Period of hire
The minimum rental period is 3 days. Rental days
are based on 24 hours. The price is determined by
the start of hire. For rentals of over a week, divide
the weekly rate by 7 and multiply by number of days
required, and for rentals of less than a week, divide
the weekly rate by 5 and multiply by the number
of days. If you wish to extend the rental period
after collection of the car, or if you return the
car late, you will be charged locally at the local
daily rate which may be higher than our rates. No
refunds are payable on vehicles returned early.
Driving licences
All people wishing to drive a Star Rent a Car vehicle
must produce (at the time of rental) the original
copy of a full valid driving licence which has been
held for a minimum of 2 years. Please check at the
time of reserving your Star Rent a Car vehicle.
If you have endorsements on your licence, you must
contact reservations to ensure there are no problems
with hiring a vehicle.
Additional identification
A passport will be required at the start of the
rental as additional identification. You must also
present a valid credit card at the time you pickup
the vehicle. This applies to ALL RENTALS, no matter
how you have paid the rental. If you do not present
a credit card you WILL NOT be given the car.
Rental terms and
conditions
Full details of the rental terms and conditions
are shown on the rental agreement at the renting
location, which you will be required to sign. It
has been read and understod at the time of this
booking but you will be asked to sign locally.
Negligence
Star Rent a Car will not be held responsible for
damages to the rental vehicle caused by negligence
by the hirer or driver of the vehicle. Such damage
costs will be the responsibility of the hirer and/or
driver of the vehicle, e.g. cigarette burns, cracked
wing mirrors, KEYS etc.
Insurance cover
C.D.W or P.D.W. - Collision Damage Waiver or Physical
Damage Waiver provides cover on the physical damage
to the vehicle in the event of an accident by waiving
the full responsibility of the vehicle down to the
excess. This is included in your pre-paid rental
rates. T.P.C.- Theft Protection Cover provides cover
for the theft or attempted theft of the vehicle
by waiving the full responsibility of the vehicle
down.
Insurance excess
NO EXCESS . The insurance coverage and excess does
not cover the following: Damage to tyres, AND KEYS.
Out of hours
Free 24h pick-up service is available in these airports.
(ALICANTE AIRPORT, VALENCIA AIRPORT, MURCIA AIRPORT).
EXCEPT the following and is applicable in MALAGA
AIRPORT ONLY .
Between 22:00 and 08:00 there is a €15 EURO
surcharge payable in cash upon arrival.
General conditions
A rental agreement will be issued by the rental
company supplying the hire vehicle. Rentals will
be subject to the terms and conditions and laws
of the country in which the vehicle is hired and
a rental agreement will need to be signed accepting
these conditions. The liability of Star Rent a Car
to their client for loss, damage or injury accident
arising out of negligence, breach of contract or
any other cause, will not exceed two and a half
times the invoiced price of the hired vehicle.
Vehicle collection
Your vehicle will be reserved as per your instructions
of date and time of collection. Failure to collect
your vehicle at the agreed time may result in the
cancellation of your vehicle, without refund. If
you are delayed please contact with the local car
rental. A copy of the pre-paid rental voucher issued
for your reservation must be handed in to the renting
location on collection of the vehicle.
Number of passengers
Star Rent a Car cannot accept responsibility if
the vehicle is not large enough to hold all passengers
and luggage on arrival if details were not supplied
at the time of booking.
Driving restrictions
Restrictions are applicable when crossing country
borders. Please advise our reservations department
at the time of booking if you plan to drive out
of the country/state of vehicle collection. Charges
may apply locally for extra insurance.
Accidents
In the event of any mechanical difficulties or accidents
involving your car, it is important that details
are reported to your local supplier within 24 hours.
You must also complete an accident form by the end
of the rental period. Local police should also be
notified in the case of accidents and a signed police
report obtained. Full details of third parties should
also be obtained. Authority to repair or replace
a vehicle must be given by your local supplier whose
name and contact details are shown on your voucher
and rental agreement. You should retain copies of
all rental documentation in the event an insurance
company is involved. Compensation cannot be considered
when this procedure is not followed. Failure to
do so may delay the investigation of disputes regarding
insurance excess charges.
Tax
All taxes are included except those on any extras
purchased locally.
Customer relations
If at anytime you are dissatisfied by the service,
or the vehicle standard, you must immediately inform
the renting location. If the renting location fails
to satisfy your requirements, you must (within 10
days of returning the rental vehicle) write to Star
Rent a Car Customer. Postal Contact Details are
